International Family Violence and Child Victimization Research Conference

Lisa presented “Polyvictimization, Childhood Animal Abuse, and Trauma-Focused Intervention” with Dr. Christina Risley-Curtiss at this annual conference sponsored by the Family Research Laboratory and Crimes against Children Research Center at the University of New Hampshire. The session included: (1) discussion of research on the relationship between animal abuse and children’s polyvictimization, (2) description of the Children and Animals Together (CAT) program for children who abuse animals, and (3) presentation of findings from detailed psycho-social assessments of 44 children referred to CAT.
